This blog is an opportunity for me, as a teacher and learner, to reflect on my everyday experiences. It is also an opportunity to have conversations with people who may have had similar experiences or who are able to share their expertise.

But who am I? I completed my PGCE in Secondary Science Education at Oxford Brookes University in 2007. I have since worked in a range of school settings, including a single-sex grammar school, a rural comprehensive school, a converter academy and an inner city comprehensive in North London. I currently lead a fantastic faculty of Science in a North London academy.

I am passionate about lifelong learning and truly love my role as a teacher. I couldn’t imagine not being involved in the world of education in some form or another. I also have a beautiful family who keep me from being a complete Science/Education geek. I hope that my decision to begin this blog will mean that the amount of time they have to suffer listening to me talking about work will be greatly reduced!
